How To Thread A Janome ME 4023 Sewing Machine
Learn how to thread your Janome Sewing Machine using this easy step-by-step tutorial.
Threading the Machine
Raise take-up lever to its highest position by turning balance wheel toward you.
Raise the presser foot with the presser foot lifter and pass the thread in the order from 1 to 5.
UPPER (NEEDLE) THREAD
1. Lead the thread from the spool and pass it through the thread guide. Then draw it down along the right slot.
2. Guide the thread around the bottom of the thread guide plate from right to left, then draw it upward.
3. Firmly draw the thread from right to left over the take-up lever and down into the take-up lever eye. Then guide it down along the left slot.
4. Slide the thread from the left behind the needle bar thread guide.
5. Thread the needle from front to back
NOTE: You may want to cut the end of thread with sharp scissors for easier needle threading.

Dotted lines show places where the thread loops and then is pulled tight.
