Replacing threading hook in Built-in needle threader for Singer touch-n-sew
INSTRUCTIONS
For Replacing Threading Hook in Built-in Needle Threader for
Touch &Sew
To Remove Threading Hook
• Lower the Needle Threader.
• Remove screw, washer and damaged hook from
threader arm.
(See illustration.)
To Replace Threading Hook
• Make certain washer is in place on shank of screw.
• Piece new hook (thread slot up) on shank of screw on
top of washer.
• Re place screw with threading hook into threader
arm making certain that flat at rear of hook body is
flush against rear of threader arm. Then securely tighten screw.
Lower the presser foot then raise the needle bar to its highest position.
• Position slot in threader arm over pos tioning screw
on needle clamp.
• Check alignment of threader hook and needle eye by
carefully pulling threader arm forward so that upper
and lower hook guides straddle the needle.(Note:Use
caution to avoid damage to new hook.)
• If the hook is not aligned properly with the needle
eye, loosen the screw and guide the hook through the
eye of the needle.
Securely tighten screw end gently swing threader
arm bock and forward again to recheck hook setting.
